【摘要】:Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsforsulfoneplasticinsertfittingsandcoppercrimpringsforfoursizes(3/8,1/2,and3/4and1)ofcross-linkedpolyethylene(PEX)plastictubing.Thesefittingsareintendedforusein100psi(690kPa)cold-andhot-waterdistributionsystemsoperatingattemperaturesuptoandincluding180F(82C).Includedaretherequirementsformaterial,moldedpartproperties,performance,workmanship,dimensions,andmarkingstobeusedonthefittingsandrings.Units-Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunits,whichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredthestandard.Thefollowingisanindexoftheappendixinthisspecification:Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportions,Sections11and12,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
