【摘要】:Thecomplexshearmodulusofbituminousmixturesisafundamentalpropertyofthematerial.Testresultsatcriticaltemperatures(Tcritical)areusedforspecificationsforsomemixes.Mixtureswithstifferbinders,agedmixtures,mixtureswithhigheramountsoffines(materialfinerthan75x00B5;),andmixtureswithlowervoidsalltendtohavehighercomplexshearmodulusvaluesthanmixtureswithlessstiffbinders,unagedmixes,mixtureswithlowlevelsoffinesandhigherairvoids.Ingeneral,mixtureswithhighercomplexshearmodulusvaluesatagivenservicetemperaturewillexhibitlowerpermanentdeformationvaluesthansimilarmixturestestedatthesametemperaturethathavelowercomplexshearmodulusvalues.Note28212;Thequalityoftheresultsproducedbythisstandardaredependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingtheprocedureandthecapability,calibration,andmaintenanceoftheequipmentused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofStandardPracticeD3666aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithD3666alonedoesnotcompletelyassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;followingthesuggestionsofD3666orsomesimilaracceptableguidelineprovidesameansofevaluatingandcontrollingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecomplexshearmodulusofbituminousmixturesusingtorsionrectangulargeometryonadynamicshearrheometer(DSR).Itisapplicabletobituminousmixtureshavingcomplexshearmodulusvaluesgreaterthan1x00D7;104Pawhentestedoverarangeoftemperaturesfrom10x00B0;Cto76x00B0;Catfrequenciesof0.01to25Hzandstrainsof0.001%to0.1%.Thedeterminationofcomplexshearmodulusistypicallydeterminedat20x00B0;Cto70x00B0;Cat0.01%strainat10discretefrequencyvaluescovering0.01to10Hz.Fromthesedata,temperatureorfrequencymastercurvescanbegeneratedasrequired.Thistestmethodisintendedfordeterminingthecomplexshearmodulusofbituminousmixturesasrequiredforspecificationtestingorqualitycontrolofbituminousmixtureproduction.1.2Thistestmethodisappropriateforlaboratorypreparedandcompactedmixtures,fieldproducedandlaboratorycompactedmixturesorfieldcores,regardlessofbindertypeorgradeandregardlessofwhetherRAPisusedinthemixture.Duetothegeometryofthespecimensbeingtestedthistestmethodisnotapplicabletoopen-gradedorSMAmixtures.Ithasbeenfoundtobeappropriatefordense-gradedmixtures,whethercoarse-orfine-graded,with19mmorsmallernominalmaximumaggregatesize.1.3Thebetween-laboratoryreproducibilityofthistestmethodisbeingdeterminedandwillbeavailableonorbeforeJune2012.Therefore,thistestmethodshouldnotbeusedforacceptanceorrejectionofmaterialsforpurchasingpurposes.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
